## Quick summary

## Overview

If you set up the same kind of payment again and again, save it. **Settings → Templates** lets you create reusable structures and content.

## What templates can hold

### Payment plan rules

The rules for calculating a payment plan, so a familiar plan structure is one click away.

### Single-payment item presets

A preset of items for a single payment—pre-configured and ready to apply.

### Flexible amounts

A payment with a **flexible amount** the customer sets when they're ready to pay.

### Reminder email text

Extra information appended to **payment reminder emails**.

## Using templates

Apply a template when **creating a payment**—it fills in the presets so you only adjust what's specific to this customer. You can also **bulk-create** payment plans from a template when many customers share the same structure.

Build a template for each common scenario—"annual tuition, 10 monthly instalments", "deposit + balance"—and creating payments becomes pick-and-go.
