## Overview

Commercial deals are rarely just "X%". Bonuses, incentives and markups sit on top of standard commission—and Qualy models them as **additional splits** so each one is tracked and paid out cleanly.

## Markups

A **markup** adds an extra amount to a payment that becomes **its own payout** ("payouts generated from a markup"). It's the tidy way to capture an incentive or surcharge separately from your base commission.

## Choosing the right split type

### Sending a percentage

Pays a percentage of the total—use it for a percentage-based incentive.

### Flat amount

A fixed bonus amount, regardless of the payment size.

### Split on another split

Pays a percentage of **another** split—handy for layered or referral incentives.

Because every bonus is its own split, your reporting separates base commission from incentives automatically—no manual tagging needed.
