# Handling OSHC and visa fees

## Overview

International students rarely pay for tuition alone—there's often **OSHC** (overseas student health cover) and **visa** fees too. Qualy lets you collect everything in one payment while sending each part to the right place.

## Add each fee as its own item

When you create the payment, add **OSHC** and **visa** fees as **separate items** alongside tuition. The customer sees a clear, itemised breakdown and pays once.

## Route each item

In **"Pay a supplier"**, decide what's forwarded:

- **Tuition** → the school (supplier)
- **OSHC / visa** → keep with you, or send elsewhere

Simply **untick** OSHC or visa from the supplier payment if another provider handles them.

Keeping insurance and visa fees as distinct items keeps everyone honest: the school sees only the tuition it's owed, and your records show exactly where the other fees went.

## Sending fees elsewhere

If OSHC goes to a separate provider, either keep it to forward manually or create a **separate supplier payment** so it reaches the right place cleanly.

For complex cases—several providers in one payment—consider separate payments per provider for the clearest records.

### How do I collect OSHC and visa fees with tuition?

Add them as separate items on the same payment. The customer sees a clear breakdown and pays once; you decide where each item goes.

### Can I stop OSHC from being sent to the school?

Yes. In 'Pay a supplier', untick OSHC (or visa) so it isn't forwarded to the school—useful when another provider handles insurance.

### Can these fees go to a different provider?

Yes. Keep them with you to forward manually, or create a separate supplier payment so they reach the right provider.

### Will the customer see what each fee is for?

Yes. Each item appears separately on the payment page, so OSHC, visa and tuition are itemised clearly.

### Are OSHC and visa fees taxed?

That depends on your tax configuration. You can apply taxes per item where required—see the tax settings guide.

### Do these fees affect my commission?

Only if you include them in the supplier split. Items you keep don't reduce what you forward; items you forward do.
