# Giving access to the partner portal

> Give partners transparency into payouts—and a way to pay you.

## At a glance

- **Intended for:** Everyone
- **Available in:** All plans

- **Last updated:** 31st May 2026

## Quick summary

On a partnership, add key customers (contacts) under Customers & portal access so they can log into the partner portal. There they can see payouts, statements and invoices, and pay invoices you raise. Add at least one customer to be able to send payouts.

## Overview

Partners value transparency. The **partner portal** lets them see exactly what they've been paid and what they owe—and pay your invoices online. Access is granted through the partnership's contacts.

## Granting access

1. Open the partnership and go to **Customers & portal access**
2. Add the partner's **key contacts** (their name, email and phone)

Anyone you add here can access the partner portal. They sign in with a secure login link sent to their email—no password to remember.

You need **at least one customer** added to a partnership to send payouts and grant portal access. If none are present, Qualy prompts you to add one.

## What partners can do

In their portal, partners can:

- See their **payouts** and download a **statement**
- View **invoices** you've raised
- **Pay** invoices they owe, directly online

## What a partner can and can't see

A partner only ever sees what's shared with them. Through the portal they see the **customers you have in common** with them, and the related **payment and invoice information** for those customers—nothing else from your account.

Importantly, **partners never see any discount you've given.** You can discount a customer out of your own commission privately, and the school or partner still sees their full agreed share. Your margin and your discount decisions stay yours.

Portal access plus self-billing invoices is a powerful combination: partners see their shared customers' payouts in real time and settle what they owe without a single chasing email—while your own commission and discounts stay private.

See the partner portal guide for the full experience.

## Frequently asked questions

### How do I give a partner portal access?

On the partnership, under Customers & portal access, add the partner's key contacts. They can then log into the partner portal to see payouts and pay invoices.

### What can a partner see in their portal?

Their payouts, a downloadable statement, and any invoices you've raised. They can pay invoices they owe directly from the portal.

### What exactly can a partner see?

Only what's shared with them. A partner sees the customers you have in common, and the related payment and invoice information for those customers. They do not see your full margin, and they never see any discount you've given—you can discount from your own commission privately while the partner still sees their agreed share.

### Why do I need to add a customer to a partnership?

Partner portal access is granted to the partnership's contacts. You need at least one contact added to send payouts and give portal access.

### Can I add more than one contact for a partner?

Yes—add everyone on the partner's side who should have access, and they can all log into the partner portal. Adding the right contacts also helps payouts go through smoothly: a partnership set up with its people (and bank details) in place is far less likely to hit a failed payout.

### Does giving portal access reduce my admin?

Yes. Partners can self-serve transparency—seeing what they've been paid and what they owe—which cuts down on reconciliation emails.

### Can I control who has access?

Yes. You manage which contacts have access under Customers & portal access on the partnership.

### How do partners pay through the portal?

The same way customers do—through the portal's payment options. See the partner portal guide.
