# Your profile and account settings

> Your personal settings, separate from your business settings.

## Quick summary

Your Profile is your personal account, not your business settings. From it you set your personal details, change your login email and password, choose which notifications you receive (in-app, email or text) for things like reports, imports and payouts, and set your date, time and language preferences.

## Overview

Your **Profile** is *your* account—distinct from your business **Settings**. Anything you change here affects only you (or your team), not your customers.

Whether you're a one-person agency or part of a larger team, this is where your own login and preferences live. Qualy works just as well for a solo agent as for a big office.

## Personal details

Set your **personal details**—your name and contact information. Some details (like a phone number and preferred messaging app) help keep your account secure.

## Signing in

You sign in at **dashboard.qualyhq.com**—bookmark it so you always start in the right place. For security, Qualy uses **two-factor authentication (2FA)**: after your password, you'll be asked for a verification **code sent to your email**. Open your inbox (check spam if it's slow to arrive), enter the code, and you're in. If it doesn't show up, you can request a new one.

## Login: email and password

- **Change your email address** — the email you use to sign in to Qualy
- **Change your password** — the password you use to sign in

Seeing a **"Request failed"** error when resetting your password? It's almost always an **old reset link**—those expire after a while. Head back to the login page, request a **fresh** reset link, and open the newest email straight away (the latest one may be in your spam folder).

Trouble logging in for another reason? Check you're using the **right email** at **dashboard.qualyhq.com**. If your password isn't accepted, reset it and use the freshest email. If the **2FA code** isn't arriving, wait a moment, check spam, and request a new one. Still stuck? **Contact support** and we'll help you get back in.

## Notification preferences

Choose **what you get notified about**, and how. For each kind of event you can pick **in-app**, **email**, or **text message (SMS)**. Examples include:

- A **report** you requested is ready
- A **CSV import** finished (or failed)
- A **payout** is on its way

These are *your* notifications. They're separate from the payment reminders your customers receive, which you configure in Settings.

## Date, time and language

Set your **date, time and language preferences** so Qualy appears the way you like—in your language and formats. This is personal to you.

If a teammate sees Qualy in a different language or date format to you, that's expected—these preferences live on each person's Profile.

## Frequently asked questions

### What's the difference between my Profile and Settings?

Your Profile is your personal account—your login, your preferences, your notifications. Settings is for your whole business (branding, team, payment methods and so on). Changing your Profile only affects you.

### How do I change my login email or password?

From your Profile, use 'Change your email address' or 'Change your password'. These change the credentials you use to sign in to Qualy.

### Can I choose what I get notified about?

Yes. Your notification preferences let you pick, per type of event—such as a report being ready, a CSV import finishing, or a payout being sent—whether you're notified in-app, by email, or by text message.

### Can I set my own language and date format?

Yes. Your date, time and language preferences are personal to you, so you can use Qualy in your preferred language and formats regardless of your colleagues' settings.

### Do my preferences affect my customers?

No. Your Profile preferences only change your own experience. What your customers see is controlled by your business settings and each customer's own preferred language.

### What are personal details used for?

Your name and contact details identify you within the account and, where relevant, keep your account secure (for example, a phone number and preferred messaging app for security).

### Where do I sign in to Qualy?

At dashboard.qualyhq.com. Bookmark it so you always land in the right place.

### What is the two-factor (2FA) code when I log in?

For security, Qualy asks for a verification code at login in addition to your password. The code is sent to your email—open your inbox (check spam too), enter the code, and you're in. If you didn't get it, you can request a new one.

### I get a 'Request failed' error when resetting my password—what's wrong?

That almost always means you've clicked an old password-reset link. Reset links expire, so an earlier email won't work. Go to the login page, request a fresh reset link, and use the newest email—open it straight away. Checking your spam folder helps you find the latest one.

### I can't log in for another reason—what should I check?

First, make sure you're signing in at dashboard.qualyhq.com with the right email address—the one your account is under. If your password isn't accepted, use the reset-password option and follow the freshest reset email (check your spam folder). If the two-factor code isn't arriving, wait a moment, check spam, and request a new one. If you've tried those and still can't get in, contact support and we'll help you sort it out.
