# Viewing and managing form responses

## Quick summary

Form responses live on the customer's Forms tab and on each form ('See form responses', with a response count). You can tell which customers have responded, which are awaiting, and open a submission to read the answers.

## Overview

A form is only useful once it's filled in. Qualy keeps responses where you'll look for them—on each **form** and on the **customer**.

## Two places to look

### On the form

Open a form and choose **"See form responses"**. Each form shows its **number of responses**, from "No responses" to a specific count.

### On the customer

The customer's **Forms** tab shows the forms sent to them and their responses.

## Tracking what's outstanding

Forms that haven't been started show a status such as **"Awaiting for the customer to start"**, so you can see exactly who to follow up with. Until the first submission, a form shows a **"No form responses yet"** state.

## Using the answers

Open a submission to read what the customer provided. Pair forms with **custom fields** so answers map to structured data on the customer—turning a one-off submission into reusable information.

Make following up easy: when a response needs action, create a **task** on the customer so it doesn't slip.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where do I see form responses?

On each form (via 'See form responses') and on the customer's Forms tab. Both show what's been submitted.

### How do I know how many people responded?

Each form shows its number of responses—no responses, one response, or a number—so you can see uptake at a glance.

### Can I see who hasn't responded?

Yes. Outstanding forms show a status such as 'Awaiting for the customer to start', so you know who to nudge.

### Can I read an individual submission?

Yes. Open a submission to read the answers the customer provided.
