It stays true without anyone exporting a list. ## What you can do with Qualy and Mailchimp ### For whoever writes the emails Segments that stay true without an export. - When a student goes overdue, they enter your overdue segment and the automation picks them up on the next run. - When a payment lands, the balance merge field drops the same day, so nobody gets a reminder they have already paid. - When a visa is close to expiring, the date is already on the member, so a renewal campaign can target it. - When you need a pay link in an email, the merge field holds the current one for that student. ### For whoever owns the list An audience that maintains itself. - When a student is created in Qualy, they are added to the audience with their name, phone and country already filled in. - When you connect, Qualy creates the audience with your own from name and reply address, not a generic one. - When a tag is removed in Qualy, it is deactivated in Mailchimp, so old segments stop picking people up. ## What syncs, which way, and when | In Qualy | Direction | In Mailchimp | When | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Payment status | Qualy to Mailchimp | Merge fields on the member | On every change: amounts due and overdue, next due date, next amount, pay link | | Student | Matched, not copied | Audience member | By email. Every other audience in your account is untouched. - **Won't send anything** — Qualy keeps the data current. Campaigns, automations and sends stay entirely yours. - **Won't read from Mailchimp** — An unsubscribe or a profile edit in Mailchimp does not flow back into Qualy. - **Won't email students on its own** — Qualy has its own reminders. If you use Mailchimp for that instead, turn the Qualy ones off so nobody gets two. If your setup needs something this page does not list, ask us. Sign in to Mailchimp. 2. Qualy creates the audience and its merge fields. 3. Choose what syncs and pick a start date. Available on every plan ## Capabilities - A Mailchimp audience kept current with every Qualy student - Balance, overdue count, next payment date, amount and pay link as merge fields - Payments logged as member events for automations - Tags kept in step with Qualy, including removals - Visa issue, expiry and country as merge fields ## Questions ### Will Qualy email my students? Not through Mailchimp. Qualy keeps the data current and leaves sending to you. Qualy has its own payment reminders, and if you would rather run those from Mailchimp, turn the Qualy ones off so nobody gets both. ### Which merge fields do I get? The Qualy number, amounts due and overdue, next payment date, amount and link, and the visa issue, expiry and country. They are created for you when you connect. ### What happens if someone unsubscribes? Mailchimp honours it, as always. Qualy does not read unsubscribes back today, so the student stays active in Qualy and keeps getting Qualy payment reminders unless you turn those off. ### What if my setup needs something this page doesn't list? Ask.
